Sergey A. Kornilov

Dr. Sergey A. Kornilov received his PhD in Educational Psychology from Moscow State University, Russia, and his PhD in Experimental Psychology (with a concentration in cognitive psychology and psycholinguistics) from University of Connecticut, U.S.A. Sergey is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University, a research affiliate at Haskins Laboratories, U.S.A., and an adjunct psychologist at Moscow State University. Sergey's work is focused on the neurobiological underpinnings of human development; in his research, Sergey works with a multitude of populations (i.e., typically developing children and undergraduates, as well as special and clinical pulations, e.g., children with Developmental Language Disorder) using a variety of approaches (from psychometric to molecular genetic) to broaden our understanding of the complex etiological architecture of language and cognition and their development. Sergey is a 2014 receipent of the Society fo Research on Human Development (SRCD) Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, and a 2013 recepient of Isabelle Liberman Award (UConn) for his work on molecular and neurophysiological bases of language disorders.
